19-1-2010 New Demo Mix & YouTube
Well today's the day when I'll be recording my new DJ demo mix, its been a while - over a year in fact since my last one. Theres a little bit of artwork and post production to be done first but expect to find the link online tomorrow in the Mix Sets section.
Also over the next few months I will be adding a video section which will feature content linked from my YouTube channel. This year I intend to record various music related tutorials as I have a top of range new HD camcorder which is sitting around not getting used much.
If you have any ideas or would like to see something specific in this feature do please get in touch, I am always open to suggestions :)
8-1-2010 Time for Change
First of all let me say "happy new year", here's hoping we see an end to the global recession!
Recently I have been thinking about what I want out of this website, its a project that has been ongoing for a number of years but I always felt the potential was never reached. Changes in my personal situation have also led me to think about what I'm trying to accomplish here.
As I grow older my interests in various other fields have developed and I've come up with the idea of rebranding the site (and myself) as a homepage for the "creative multimedia artist" which in otherwords will remove my tag as DJ and Producer.
The first thing I want to do is set up a showcase for my interest in film making and cinematography, something which has really sparked my interest in the last few years. I've also been keen to show off my photography skills.
Secondly, I've always been a keen amature web designer but never taken the opportunity to set up a dedicated site for this. As it falls under the "media" umbrella I thought that bringing it to this site would alleviate the need for a seperate one.
Lastly, my interests in the field of pyrotechnics have grown and this year I will doing a BPA level training course to become a qualified pyrotechnician. I'm mostly interested in the art of pyro and the choreography. Once again this falls perfectly into the "creative multimedia artist" category.
Hopefully as the year progresess I will impliment these changes but my goal is to develope a community for the above fields. I set up a forum here a long time ago but it has never been used for its intended purpose and became home to spam bots.
